Archeosite English

4 km from Gaillac Montans village is known for its production of pottery and Roman Gaul, as evidenced by numerous archaeological remains unearthed since the nineteenth century. Archeosite, exhibition space depending on the community of common Tarn and Dadu, a journey through time to discover the daily life of the Gallo-Roman potters with archaeological objects and size reconstructions.

Activities for 4-6 years, 7-12 years, adults and adolescents, are held throughout the year, by reservation (information 05 63 57 59 16 or archeosite@ted.fr). Archeosite also participates in national events: European Heritage Days Festival of Science, Archaeology Days ... (free entry and specific events) and organizes a week of Roman reconstructions in April.

Summer from April 1 to October 31 Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9h-12h and 14h-18h, weekends and holidays 14h-18h
Winter from November 1 to March 31 Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9h-12h and 13h-17h, closed on weekends and open from 14h to 18h holidays
Annual closing on May 1 and one week during the Christmas season.
